VISION STATEMENT
Intentionally connecting with Christ, each other, and our neighbours, for the glory of God.
Intentionally connecting…(Phil 2:12-13; Col 1:9-14)
Salvation is a gift from God through the work of Jesus Christ, but maturing and growing in that salvation requires our effort. A growing and fruitful faith life is worked out when we are deliberate about connecting with Christ, fellow Christians, and members of the community around us. We join in on the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives and are shaped into mature disciples of Jesus.
With Christ…(John 15:1-17; Psa 1:1-2)
We are disciples of Christ—hearers and doers of the Word—living in a world that seeks to separate us from him. Christ has purchased us as his own and we stay connected with him by reading God’s word, praying in the power the Holy Spirit, worshiping with other believers, and devoting all of our lives to him.
With each other…(1 Pet 2:9-10; Acts 2:42-47; Eph 4)
When God rescues us, we are delivered into his family as adopted sons and daughters. This means that we no longer “do life” alone. We connect with the body of Christ in one-on-one relationships, small groups, and corporate worship, encouraging and equipping each other for the work of ministry.
With our neighbours…(2 Cor 5:14-21; Matt 28:18-20; Luke 10:25-37)
Jesus formed relationships with everyone, even his enemies. He gave us the charge to “go and do likewise,” showing mercy and joining the ministry of reconciliation. We connect with our neighbours by courageously getting out of our comfort zone, building relationships, being a part of the community, and serving using the gifts he has given us.
For the glory of God…(1 Cor 10:31; Psa 115:1)
God rescued us, his creation, from the depths of sin and death by his grace alone. In response, we seek to honour and glorify our Creator and Redeemer in everything that we do. Our lives are an outpouring of gratitude for the grace God has given us in Christ Jesus.
