What is GEMS?

GEMS is the go-to ministry for girls’ spiritual growth, providing real answers to the challenges girls face. We understand the adversity that girls face today and know you’re looking to guide the girls in your life successfully. You’re not alone! GEMS walks alongside moms, mentors, and ministry leaders to equip you to understand today’s problems. GEMS is a weeknight program that runs on thursday nights bi-weekly where we work on bible based badges, crafts, theme night and activities that involve members in our church.

In 1966, GEMS (formerly “Calvinettes”), the Calvinist Cadet Corps, and ThereforeGo (then the Young Calvinist Federation) merged to form Dynamic Youth Ministries (then known as United Calvinist Youth). In 2006, GEMS expanded its global vision to reach girls everywhere by organizing clubs in Africa.

Every season of GEMS that runs from October to May, we are given a theme to base the season off of. The Trinity GEMS club offers program for girls grade two to grade eight. If they would like to continue after that age, we transition them to becoming junior counselors with the hopes of becoming a counselor.
